CMU Faculty of Education Welcomes Delegation from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

June 4, 2025 – The management of the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University (CMU), extended a warm welcome to Dr. Allison Witt, Director of the Office of International Programs from the College of Education, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA. Dr. Witt was accompanied by two undergraduate exchange students participating in a study visit program under the collaborative framework between the two institutions.

Asst. Prof. Dr.Tipparat Noparit, Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with Lecturer Dr.Janejira Arsarkij, Assistant Dean, officially greeted Dr. Allison Witt and Miss Jessica Schrader, Director of the Center for Global Engagement from Carlow University, USA. The purpose of their visit was to accompany two undergraduate exchange students: Miss Riley Parks, a third-year English major, and Miss Kelly Sheridan, a third-year Elementary Education major. The students paid a courtesy call to the Dean and executives as they began their study visit to observe teaching and learning management at Puttisopon School in Chiang Mai, from June 9 to July 7, 2025.

During the visit, Dr. Allison Witt discussed the possibility of organizing mutual study visit activities focusing on teaching and learning management in the coming year. She also explored opportunities for further collaboration between the Faculty of Education and UIUC in co-hosting an international academic conference.
