Executives of the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University, Visit The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK)
During March 16-17, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Tipparat Noparit, Dean of the Faculty of Education, led a delegation of executives and faculty members from the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University, along with faculty members from Chiang Mai University Demonstration School, to visit The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The purpose was to discuss progress on jointly organizing The 4th National and the 2nd International Conference on Education (NICE EDU CMU 2025) with the theme "Innovation, Emerging Technologies, and Future Skills for Future Education," in which EdUHK will serve as a Co-organizer alongside UNESCO IITE. The delegation also discussed support for organizing SEAMEO's academic conference with Professor Lim Cher Ping, Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation; Co-Director, Global Institute for Emerging Technologies, EdUHK, and his team. The conference is scheduled to be held on July 4, 2025. Additionally, they discussed support for organizing a workshop on the Gen AI Competency Framework by UNESCO IITE for faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Education on July 3, 2025, as well as the opportunity for the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University, to participate in organizing a conference on the topic of Global Research Agenda in collaboration with UNESCO IITE and SEAMEO.
During the visit, the faculty members also had the opportunity to try out the Extended Reality (XR) Lab at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and to visit Hong Kong Jockey Club Primary School (HKJC Primary) as well as HKWMA CHU SHEK LUN Secondary School.
