CMU Faculty of Education Welcomes Students from Meiji Gakuin University, Japan, for Cultural Exchange Program

September 10, 2026 – Associate Professor Dr. Uraiwan Hanwong, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University (CMU), officially welcomed a 13-member delegation from Meiji Gakuin University, Japan.
Led by Coordinator Ms. Ayako Tomita and Group Leader Mr. Shunta Igarashi, the visiting students arrived to participate in a cultural exchange program with the faculty members and students of the Educational Social Sciences Division. The initiative aims to foster the exchange of knowledge regarding language, culture, and educational systems while enhancing international experiences for both institutions. The welcoming ceremony took place at the 45th Anniversary Meeting Room, Building 2, Faculty of Education, CMU.
Dr. Chayanit Yimsawat, Lecturer in the Educational Social Sciences Division and Program Coordinator, also joined the reception to extend a warm welcome. The initial session featured an institutional introduction followed by an engaging discussion to exchange perspectives on the educational systems, societies, and cultures of both nations.
The cultural exchange program between the CMU Educational Social Sciences Division and Meiji Gakuin University is scheduled from September 10 to 14, 2026. Key highlights of the program include:
